Been sitting in the ER since 9pm with a friend having chest pains... Things started out good. Got taken back quickly and got a room within 30 mins. Then it was about an hour for a Dr to come in ..he didnt seem to know what to do for her symptoms ,his exact words were "well we'll try some stuff and see what happens" Was about another hour before they tried nitro stat and after that its has been 2 hours since they have come back or even checked on her. She hasn't been offered a blanket or a drink ...nothing. Its now 3am ...she had to get up to pee over and hour ago so they unhooked her from the heart monitor. When she got back nobody was here to hook her back up..hit call button and asked if it should be hooked back up. They said they would find her nurse....an hour later and still nothing...I finally went up to ask for blankets for her that they never offered and if her nurse was still gonna deciding if she should be hooked back to the monitor!! Never again! I wouldn't bring a damn rodent here .
Rude staff. 6.5 hours for the pharmacy to provide any medication. Never given any prescribed home meds. Never fed dinner. Doctor visited for 10 seconds and turned his back and left when I spoke to him. Nurses not allowed to do breathing treatments. Respiratory specialist took 6 hours to arrive. No monitors in the room. Nurse looks like she vomited in her mouth if spoken to. I could go like this all night.
If I could give this Hospital a no star I would. They gave me two meds that weren't on my med list that my Doctor printed out for then and would give me two that were. Last time here they ruined my hand with an IV with what I'm assuming is nerve damage and now I can't close my hand. Not to mention the pain. I had this crappy nurse that got pissed if I hit the call button. Probably because she had to get up. I wouldn't take a dead dog to this place.
If your only 2 options are going to Camden Clark or dying in agony, do yourself the favor and just kick the bucket. No, seriously. Rotting in a box 6 feet under the dirt is better than the treatment you'll receive from this pathetic excuse for a hospital. Also, are you a veteran that receives healthcare from the VA that's considering going to Camden Clark for emergency care? Might want to think again, because they're too damned stupid to bill the VA for aforementioned emergency care. Not only that, they're too stupid to send YOU bills for it. Sure do hope you like having debts sent to collections that you shouldn't even have to begin with and didn't even realize were there! Unless you're into jumping through hoops making phone calls to everyone under the sun only to get nowhere, then you can go ahead. Just don't expect too much from Camden's billing department when you have to do this, because they don't give a damn about doing their job properly. And rant.
This Hospital has the most rudest ER staff!! Usually I would expect to run across one or two rude nurses but my fiance encountered so so many. We were there around 9:30 pm. My fiance was in such severe pain he was crawling on the floor and was only told to calm down. Not one nurse tried to ease his pain even after being there for a hour and a half. Erica, a ER nurse just had the worst attitude period and how I wish I knew all the other nurses names. The only thing they kept telling us is that a doctor would be in as soon as he finished with the other patients that came in at exactly the same time and they also made sure to tell us how busy they had previously been that evening. I understand being busy and some patients are worse than others but to be rude and not even try to sooth a patient is wrong, especially when there was at least 10 nurses standing at the desk and most of them were talking. We decided to leave after a hour and a half and the nurses seemed proud to show him where the exit door was located. We went to Marietta Memorial Belpre and he was immediately treated with the kindest most caring staff. They obviously could see how much pain he was in. We wont go back to CCMH ever and I'm sure the ER nurses that we encountered would be happy to hear that because then they won't be as busy. Camden Clark home of the ice queens. Expect to be ignored.
